Our Governing Documents
The Obstacle Course Racing Association of Ireland (OCRA ÉIREANN) is governed through its Constitution and Bylaws.
Together, these documents establish the formal structure of the organisation, its objectives, membership arrangements, governance processes and operational rules.
OCRA Constitution
The Constitution, also referred to within OCRA's governing documents as the Statutes, establishes the fundamental structure and purpose of the organisation.
It defines areas including:
- OCRA's name and legal form
- Purpose and objectives
- Activities
- Membership
- Governance structure
- General Assembly
- Management of the organisation
- Committees
- Finance
- Transparency and integrity
- Amendment procedures
- Dissolution
The Constitution establishes OCRA's objectives to:
- Promote, develop and govern obstacle sport throughout Ireland
- Represent Ireland in international obstacle sport
- Establish national standards for competition, coaching and Technical Officiating
- Organise National Championships and qualification pathways
- Support athletes, clubs, coaches and Technical Officials
- Promote integrity, fairness, athlete welfare and inclusion
- Work with national and international sporting organisations
OCRA Bylaws
The Bylaws provide the operational rules through which the principles contained within the Constitution are implemented.
They cover areas including:
- Membership procedures
- Member rights and responsibilities
- General Assembly procedures
- Organisational management
- Committees
- Technical Officials
- Coaching
- Disciplinary processes
- Event standards
- Communication and records
- Amendment procedures
The Bylaws supplement the Constitution and should be interpreted consistently with it.
Changes to Governing Documents
The Constitution and Bylaws may be amended in accordance with the procedures contained within the governing documents.
Significant changes require consideration and approval through OCRA's formal governance processes.
Where a new version is approved, the current version will be published here together with its effective date.

The current approved Constitution and Bylaws will be available to view and download here once published. Previous versions may be retained for transparency and historical reference, clearly labelled as archived.
